Humaster Completes Seoul Metropolitan Government Demonstration Project

Humaster Showcases Energy-Saving Dehumidification & Ventilation Solutions at HVAC KOREA 2022

Seoul, Korea – Humaster (CEO Lee Dae-young), a specialist in desiccant dehumidification, purification, and ventilation solutions, announced the successful results of its one-year demonstration project under the Seoul Testbed program. The company’s flagship system Humicon achieved 30–60% reduction in cooling energy and over 50% improvement in indoor air quality (IAQ), including reductions in fine dust, ultrafine particles, and CO₂ concentration.

Recently designated as a Government Excellent Product, Humicon is expected to expand its presence across government and public institutions. By maintaining the mandated indoor cooling temperature limit of 28℃ while improving worker comfort, the system presents itself as an optimal solution for public facilities.

ESG & Carbon Neutral Innovation on Display

From August 18–20 at SETEC, visitors to HVAC KOREA 2022 will be able to experience Humaster’s energy innovation technologies firsthand. Humicon provides cooling without overuse of electricity, reducing summer energy costs and addressing health issues linked to conventional air conditioning, such as aircon sickness.

As Korea pursues Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB) and carbon neutrality, humidity control has become a key challenge. Humaster’s desiccant solution is uniquely positioned to ensure both comfort and energy efficiency, creating Mediterranean or California-like indoor environments even under Korea’s summer humidity and public-sector cooling restrictions.

Proven Performance for Vulnerable Groups

As a KIST spin-off, Humaster successfully conducted demonstrations at childcare centers and senior facilities, where vulnerable groups are most exposed to cooling-related health risks. Results showed significant reductions in cooling energy costs while providing a safe, comfortable environment free from overcooling, mold, and poor air circulation.

Currently in operation across homes, offices, and production sites, Humicon has gained strong customer satisfaction and repeat purchases, fueling rapid market adoption.
