Humaster, a specialist in desiccant dehumidification and cooling, and premium study café brand Gongbon announced on the 27th that they signed a strategic business agreement to launch the premium brand “Gongbon Study Café ECO.”
Humaster will supply its desiccant dehumidification clean ventilation solution “Humicon” to Gongbon and provide ongoing indoor air management services. Gongbon plans to use Humicon to create spaces that are healthy without air-conditioning syndrome, comfortable without being too cold, and filled with clean air to improve concentration.
Humicon adopts a unique technology using the desiccant dehumidification method, which regulates humidity without changing the indoor temperature, addressing the limitations of conventional air conditioners and dehumidifiers. This method lowers the perceived temperature in the summer without altering actual indoor temperature, fundamentally solving issues such as air-conditioning syndrome, unpleasant odors, and mold. In addition, certified testing has proven its effectiveness in reducing airborne viruses (98.7%) and bacteria (99.9%), making it a comprehensive indoor air quality management solution.
Gongbon currently operates its study cafés by leveraging differentiated features such as OLED lighting installed at every seat, a cross-type seating structure, and a premium 5-stage air purification system.
Gongbon CEO Woo Seung-woo stated:
“Last summer, when I experienced Humicon in an office without air conditioning, I felt a chill at 28°C indoors just through humidity control. That’s when I became convinced it was a solution to the problem of customers bringing blankets due to the cold from air conditioners. Especially since managing carbon dioxide concentration is crucial for maximizing learning efficiency, we decided to introduce Humicon to Gongbon Study Cafés based on the test results.”
Humaster CEO Lee Dae-young emphasized:
“Humicon is a world-class air management solution that maintains optimal humidity and air quality while controlling perceived temperature and humidity, filtering fine dust, blocking moisture inflow, and reducing carbon emissions. Through continuous collaboration with companies operating various spatial businesses, including franchises, we will create synergies and provide customers with healthier and more comfortable indoor environments.”
